DAY 1

Aims

To understand the role of micro-organisms in the development of pulpal and periapical disease; to understand biofilms and the roles of synergism and antagonism in biofilm survival. Be able to understand the advantages and disadvantages of radiographic and electronic methods of length determination.

Objectives

Students will be able to evaluate the types and roles of individual micro-organisms in stimulating endodontic disease, be able to relate histological pulp changes to clinical signs and symptoms; be able to utilize radiographic and electronic methodologies of length determination.
