DAY 1

Aims

To understand the presentation and management of orofacial trauma. To be able to access contemporary treatment modalities and implement them when pts present with trauma. To be able to understand non-odontogenic pain.

Objectives

Students will be able to evaluate the types of dental trauma and be able to manage them. To be able to understand and apply appropriate splints and know when to undertake root canal therapy. To be able to diagnose non-odontogenic pain and use efficient pain history and examination techniques to assist in diagnosis.
